Rejuvenation of The Eye Contour

Eye contour has always been an area of great interest to the public, constitute an area where the signs of aging may also occur early. We refer to periocular wrinkles, those under eyelid and especially to skin laxity under eyelid that often leads to a marked change in the image of the subject.

Periocular wrinkles, as expression lines, find their most natural in the botox treatment, those under eyelid are more difficult to treat, while the eyelid laxity is usually addressed with surgical methods such as blepharoplasty.

The advent of non-ablative fractional laser has been an undoubted progress as these lasers allow to obtain in a manner consistent with social stimulation of collagen and a reduction of eyelid laxity equal to 25% of what you may have with a good blepharoplasty (Sean et al Eyelid Tightening and Improved Eyelid openings through non-ablative fractional resurfacing, Dermatologic Surgery, 2008), in parallel with a reduction in fine wrinkles.

These lasers have the character to get in depth to the reticular dermis but not to cause unlike fractional ablative lasers (CO2 and Erbium) damage skin. The epidermis is in fact intact, and the only side effects are erythema and edema, however, compatible with social life.

In fact the wavelength of 1550 for its characteristics is that more than any other is able to stimulate collagen reducing skin laxity and thus changing the look and rejuvenation. The treatment, performed with the application of an anesthetic cream is not painful and as before said is incompatible with social life, unlike the old version of fractional CO2 but also that still leads to absence from social life for at least a week.
