Frigidity: derives from late Latin "frigiditas", from "fridge" (cold) and indicates the complete absence of physical and emotional heat that usually accompanies the sexual response.


This is a very rare condition in which there is a blockage, primary or secondary, of all sexual function. From the clinical point of view, we speak in this case of sexual dysfunction.
GENERAL : lack or permanent incapacity, temporary or casual female sexual arousal response.

For many years it was considered "frigid" - a term with a strong negative connotation that currently specialized in the field tend not to use - is a woman with problems of excitation of orgasm. These are really two different issues even if the woman with DSG is very often also suffer from anorgasmia.

CAUSES
• Attitude with respect to female pleasure and its demonstrations outside
• Low self-esteem
• Poor knowledge of their own bodies and those of partner
• Need control
• Emotional rigidity
• False values and beliefs about sexuality (stereotypical ideas about gender roles)
• Depression

TREATMENT
The individual therapy is better than the torque in that it allows to explore the inhibitions individual or interpersonal factors that decrease arousal. Individual psychological treatment will be to investigate the deep conflicts linked to pleasure and accompany the woman into a path of re-appropriation of their bodies and sensations of physical pleasure.
