In fact, several times she forgot to lock the door of the house or turn off the faucet in the house. Whereas before pregnant, Audrey was never like that. She was confused, why forgetfulness and careless worse when pregnant?

Factors Causing

Pregnancy Induced Clumsiness (PIC) is not a myth, but a real phenomenon. The symptoms of clumsiness, decreased dexterity, wholly forgetfulness occurs during pregnancy.

Basically, the PIC is a combination of physical and emotional factors. The two physical problems that directly affect the agility and dexterity pregnant women, namely:
  • First, obviously because of changes in body size and mechanism. The occurrence of lordosis (disorder of the spine is curved backward direction and cause the patient seemed bent backwards) is a natural mechanism in the body. Lordosis help pregnant women 'carry' big belly without falling. But the fact is, balancing the body for a woman who is pregnant is not easy. Especially when pregnant women to climb the stairs, carrying a few goods or walking in the streets slippery and uneven.
  • Second, the placenta out relaxin hormone that functions to calm ligemen (connective tissue that connects and binds segments of the spine) in the body causing lordosis. These same hormones loosen the joints of hands, arms, ankles and knees. Swelling and increased water levels on the hands and fingers were allegedly able to influence the sensory perception and memory. Even stress in pregnancy supposedly intended to activate an enzyme in the brain. This enzyme causes disruption of short-term memory and decision-making process in pregnant women.
Stress triggers the power of concentration
In the third trimester, Pregnant women experienced many physical changes that cause discomfort and psychological burden big enough. Entering the 33st week of pregnancy, pregnant women began having trouble breathing because the baby's movements under the diaphragm pressing the lungs, back pain, constipation, difficulty sleeping and so on. This situation that ultimately resulted in inconvenience trigger stress in pregnancy. Further stress can cause memory and resources disturbed pregnant women concentration.

Recently, a study claimed there was negligence on the minds of pregnant women, especially the final trimester. Research conducted in New Zealand and discussed at the annual scientific meeting of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist in Auckland.

A series of tests conducted on 60 women, as many as 30 pregnant women at third trimester and 30 women who are not pregnant. Compared to non-pregnant women, 30 women were pregnant at the worst level in the measurement of auditory memory.

They get ten points lower than non-pregnant women. The study showed that pregnant women have a memory function is lower than non-pregnant women, particularly those associated with auditory memory. Hmm... is it clear and can understand now Moms?
